It is so simple to mix your own colours for creating your own printed and dyed textiles. To produce brilliantly coloured designs all you need to do is add Colour Vie Pigments and Resfix to the Base.

The Colour Vie Pigment System is a 3-part water based textile printing system ideal for silk-screen printing, block printing, hand painting, stenciling, sponging, spraying and all other applications on fabric. The 3 parts needed are Base, Pigment and Resfix.

Colour Vie Base
The Base is a thickened medium resembling yogurt in consistency, to which the Pigments are added. Base is what makes the prints permanent on fabrics, and is transparent until pigment is added.

Colour Vie Pigments
The Pigments are concentrated pure colours available in yellow, red, blue, green, purple, black. brown and white. All colours are transparent, except the super opaque white, and are completely intermixable in the Base. Colours can be mixed to create a large palette of hues and shades.

Colour Vie Resfix
Resfix is the third ingredient. It is a clear liquid which improves wash fastness and prevents crocking. Other ingredients are:

Colour Vie Super Opaque White
Super Opaque White is a pigment ready to use straight out of the bottle. It gives an excellent opaque whiteness on dark or black fabrics. If you find it too opaque or thick you can add up to 20% Base.

The Super Opaque White can be tinted by adding Pigments, achieving opaque pastel colours on dark fabrics. When adding Pigments to Super Opaque White it is necessary to add Binder in the same proportion as the Pigment.

Pearlescent White - for creating opaque luminous shimmer.

Pearlescent White is a ready to use, opaque pigment. It works on light or dark fabrics. Use straight from the bottle or add Colour Vie Base for less opacity and glitter. Can be tinted with Colour Vie pigments.

Colour Vie Binder Binder is one of the ingredients already existing in the Base. It makes the Pigments "bind" onto the fabric. When tinting Super Opaque White, add a little Binder to ensure fabric is washable.

Colour Vie Anti-Bleed
Anti-Bleed is a milky liquid ingredient which prevents bleeding of colours on synthetic fabrics. It is extra important in ensuring crisp and clean prints and decorations on synthetic blends.

Anti-Bleed should be added carefully one drop at a time. The amount needed will depend on the synthetic fabric being used. Test frequently until mixture prints without bleeding. Anti-Bleed will also thicken the mixture.

Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver
Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver are opaque and work equally well on light and dark fabrics. Use it straight from the bottle or add up to 20% water for a thinner consistency. Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver can also be tinted with Pigments. In this case you may need to add a few drops of Binder to ensure good washability. Test first. Do not add Base to Metallic Gold or Metallic Silver.

Metallic Foil Kits.
Metallic Foil has a smooth glimmering rich quality which produces stunning effects on fabric. Foiled images add eye-catching visual depth and contrast to many fabrics.
