Max Streicher - Photograms

These photograms are created by positioning my deflated and flattened nylon figures directly on large-format photographic paper (114cm x 224cm, about 4 x 8 ft.) and exposing them to light. The seams, the result of my attempts to render human anatomy in the inflatable forms, create lines that read as various inner systems, musculature, nerves or veins.
